Time to catch up..

Wow! I really need to get better at posting updates on the blog. Lots has been going on recently, so it'll be a few posts to get caught up. Here's the highlights of our California trip to Blizzcon.

London had her first experience with the SLC and Long Beach Airports and being on a plane.  We had an easier time on the flight home, than the flight there. I think the chocolate chip cookies and watching Scooby-Doo that Jetblue has made it easier.
Drew tried to give London an animal cracker. London looked at it, but it back on the tray and then pointed to the chocolate chip bag "Cookie!" She informed us that animal crackers are NOT cookies.
We went to the Rainforest Cafe with my Aunts Margaret and Ruthanne, who were on their way to visit my cousins Thomas and Kara. London really like the waterfall and the stuffed gorrilla and monekys, but the "thunderstorms" scared her.
We also went to the Santa Anna Zoo at Prentice Park. London really like the monkeys and parrots. We had a great time playing on the playground there and going to the farm petting zoo and seeing geese, pigs, sheep and goats. We left with a stuffed monkey that she now carries around with her
Another first was playing the pool at our timeshare. We started out in the smaller kids pool. London sat on the step and splashed her hands in the water. We worked our way over the big pool which she really liked. A few of the other kids were jumping in doing cannonballs. She would laugh everytime they jumped in. She is getting more independant all the time. She wanted me to let go of her so she could go off on her own, but since we were in four feet of water I had to disagree.
Drew and the boys(Steve,Spencer, and Kenji) had a great time at Blizzcon seeing the demos for new games and going to the Foo Fighters concert.
We made it back home safetly and started gearing up for Halloween.

Monkeys, Tigers and Elephants..Oh My!

Yesterday was London's first trip to the zoo! We slathered on the sunscreen to enjoy a day in the sun talking with the animals. It was fun to go with all the cousins,Grandma and Aunt Emily.
Our first stop, after grabbing a bite to eat for lunch were the smaller monkeys. The monkeys were London's favorite by far. While we were pointing out the monkeys to her and asking what the monkeys say London answered with "Meow!" loud and clear. According to London, elephants, monkeys, garaffes, and dogs all say meow. We've got our work cut out for us teaching her what the animals say. We also saw the tigers and leopards which she pointed to with "Kitty" and "Meow".
We stopped by the gorrillas and orangutans to see how she measured up. Height wise she is taller than the infant gorrilla, but the gorrillas definately have her beat for arm length. ( It was hard to get her to be still for the picture.) She was more interested in the geese across the path. Eisley decided she wanted a closer look and slipped through the fence. The geese to exception to that and almost got a piece of her, but fortunately Addison jumped in and pulled her out in time.
After seeing the animals we took a ride on the carosel and the train. Grandma held London on the tiger while the carosel went around. London didn't seem to be sure if she wanted to be on it, but I think she had fun. When we got in line for the train she kept pulling her arm up and down for choo choo.
A fun time was had by all. After our adventures in the animal kingdom we were ready to begin our trek home.
