The Blog that Time Forgot

Time for an update on the Sims Family (from April 2010)

Spring semester is almost over! Drew will take both his finals next week. No more Saturday classes!! We are both very excited over the prospect. Then he'll have a weeks off before starting Summer semester.(but Saturday classes) He's been doing really well in both his classes and is still studying for the CCNA(Cysco Certified Network Administrator) exam and will hopefully be taking that soon.

London is continuing to get geekeyer and smarter all the time. Now that the Utah weather is finally starting to get sunny and a little warm, she wants to go outside all the time. Her favorite places\things to do are the park, story time at the library, and going for walks. She now is a Xenosaga's fan and asks to watch KOS-MOS and raises both hands high in the air declaring "Ether Drive!" I know, I know, why fight the inevitable.

My brother David was here with my nephews Leif and Noah over Easter. We had a lot of fun going to the Aquarium in Sandy and the Provo Beach Resort. We got to see lots of different fish, pet the stingrays, and watch the otters and penguins swim and play. London really liked the seahorses and we got her a small light up one that she insisted sleeping with at night.

At the beach resort, we played on the toddler playground that has slides and big squishy blocks to build with, while David and the boys played on the big 5 level playground upstairs. London also went on a Carousel ride after enjoying a scoop of chocolate ice cream. I asked her if I could have a taste of her ice cream cone to which she replied "No" before taking a big lick. She is definately my child when it come to chocolate ice cream

Dad and I played skee-ball (with a little help from London) and Dad beat me both times. I guess I'm a little rusty and it helps keep me in my place.

It was a fun day with family and hopefully we can do it again soon.

Happy Birthday London!!! and Love is in the air

February has been a busy month at our house. On the 4th we celebrated London's 2nd Birthday. That's right my baby's now a big 2 year old! (And boy has she let us know it!) We had a party with the cousins and grandparents at my mom and dad's house. London really liked her Phineas and Ferb cake and ice cream. We all helped her blow out her candles and she had a little help opening presents.
We all helped her blow out her candles and she had a little help opening presents. (I tear open a little piece of the wrapping paper at the corner and she pulls the rest of it off). She really enjoys playing with Mrs. Potato head and Minnie Mouse. We now find random body parts and dresses all over our house.

Drew went out of town on a business trip the week of Valentine's, so it was just London and me at home. We made funfetti cupcakes with pink frosting. London definitely LIKES frosting. She ate all the frosting off the top of her cupcake and then declared "Yummy frosting!" We took some of them to my co-workers at Ancestry and then headed home.
Drew's home now and boy were we glad to see him after his being gone for a whole week. Drew's back in school, taking classes on Saturday, so he didn't miss any class time while he was gone. He's already had two midterms

After alot of thought and worrying I decided to start my own Etsy store. For those of you who don't know, I crochet blankets and scarves and whatnot. I'm going to give Etsy a go and see how it goes. So if there's anything in particular that you would like made, or think would be a good idea, let me know.

So that's the Sims February  and we're gearing up for March.

Mommy's Little Helper

** Disclaimer: Time to  indulge in some wibley wobley timey travel stuff back in Nov.  Please keep your hands and arms inside the ride at all times.**

For the first time in 4 years we've raked the leaves in our lawn before it snows! I know that may not seem like a huge feat, but it is. We have three large trees between us and our neighbors in the east of us, and another tree between us and the neighbors behind us. So, needless to say we have LOTS of leaves every year. And of course we wait until most have them of fallen. (Who wants to rakes leaves more than once?) But, usually it snows before the aforementioned happens. Not this year! So Drew, London and I put on some coats, pulled out the rake and trash bags and started raking. London thought it was more fun to tramp through the leaf piles and throw them around, until it came to bagging them up. We use the dustpan from our broom to help with this. London decided she wanted to help to, as long as she could have the dustpan. She a pretty good helper. We had lots of fun playing in the leaves.
